Knobfest 2012

A couple of weeks ago Brenton and I went on vacation with his mom's (the Knobloch) side. His mom has 7 siblings so to put it lightly, it was a big group! We spent the week in Branson, Missouri in some rustic condos.

One of the first nights we were there, we started a new tradition of playing "Knobfest Know-It-All". The game was set up like jeopardy and each family had their own category. The more points it was worth, the harder the question. (The expressions on our faces pretty much says it all!)

And the winners were... Darin and Jane!!
We decided that each winner has to somehow enhance the trophy. It should be interesting a couple of years from now what it looks like!

This little guy was probably the highlight (and entertainment) of the whole week! This was our first time meeting Samuel because Nelson and Mary just adopted him from Ethiopia. He is a little ball of energy! He spent the week exploring and swimming and the boy has no fear!

We saw the play/musical "Joseph". We went to an amazing theater called Sight and Sound where they "bring the bible to life". If you have ADD it would have been hard to sit through it because the set was breathtaking and it was hard to focus on the cast. They even had camels, llamas, horses, goats, and sheep that walked around on stage and through the aisles. It was amazing!

We spent A LOT of time in the sun and one day we even went cliff jumping. (Like my new hat?? I do! They are perfect for reading when laying in the sun, btw!) The boys went fishing one night and we also rented a pontoon for a day.

And of course... we had to take family photos!

^ This photo is all of the grandchildren in order of birth. I am the only one married into the family so I was 2.5 to Brenton's 2!

^ The whole crew! 39 of us!

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
-Psalm 127:3-5
